West of the Fox River Valley, there is a 5 acre tall grass prairie planting floating in miles of farm fields. Blue Sky Prairie supports a vernacular farm house (also named Blue Sky), a few original farm buildings, and twin solar arrays. This setting provides shelter for a variety of small mammals, amphibians, birds, insects, honey bee hives, beagles, two Galgos and one vintage art teacher. Sometimes we are visited by deer, coyotes and raptors. Blue Sky is our home and the wellspring of Blue Sky Prairie Textiles, LLC.
